Ampa Malibu Limited Partnership

Ampa Malibu is the partnership of two of the largest companies in the Israeli economy. Established in 1933, Ampa Real-estate, Ltd. controlled by the Fogel Group and the Nakash family (USA) has partnered with Malibu Construction, LTD. to promote a myriad of projects for agricultural communities in Israel, such as extensions of community residential areas, land development for Kibbutz, private communities and private owners etc.

Ampa Malibu enjoys the financial stability and strength of both the Ampa Group and the Ortam Malibu Group and is uniquely equipped to offer a full package of initiation, financing, development, marketing, populating and management of real estate projects. Ortam Pumped Storage Energy Ltd.

The company promotes and develops energy projects, currently designing 2 hydroelectric power plants in the pumped storage method. Both projects take place at Ma’ale Hagilbo’a and Manara and are dome conjunction with Electra, LTD. and E.R.Z. Electrical, LTD.

Use and operation of the power plants will be by the Israel Electricity Co. who is interested in all power produced by these plants for its own needs.

These projects, supplying clean, “green” energy, have very obvious advantages for the Israeli Electricity market and have won the recognition of the Israeli prime minister and the Israeli government as national importance projects. The projects are supported by the Israeli Electricity Co., the different environmental groups and official departments.

The Gilbo’a plant is estimated to produce about 300 megawatt/hour and the Manara plant is estimated to produce about 200 megawatt/hour.

International companies with high standards of designing and monitoring have been carefully selected to construct the plants and to supply the turbines and other equipment. Ortam Sahar and Electra will perform the engineering and electro-mechanical works. The two plants are estimated to be functional by the end of 2014.
